Modern Brides And Grooms Can Use AI To Find Their Wedding DJ

17 May 2026

And here we are. Now in the second quarter of  2026. This was actually going to be my first post of 2026, but I moved it to be the second post of the year. You might be asking why. Well, unlike a lot of wedding DJs who "claim" all they do is DJ weddings (but their website says otherwise) and their "jack of all trades" persona, I've spent the better part of the last 8 months capitalizing in the explosion of AI and learning about the technology. Before I go into the fact that modern brides and grooms are now using AI on a regular basis to book their wedding DJ, as well as their other vendors, I must say "diversification" is a truly wonderful thing, and the savvy Gen Z brides and grooms who I speak with regularly can see right through ALL of the hype online with all of the overloaded  and cheesy wedding DJ websites. Over the course of my tech career, I've managed to see so many different things that have changed the course of our lives, but none quite like what we are seeing right now with AI, or should I say will continue to unfold over the next 3-5 years. Modern brides and grooms can use AI to find your wedding DJ. You'll want to read on to see how AI can help you find the best wedding DJ for you as a couple.

I guess the burning question you may have is whether or not that AI could replace the wedding DJ? We'll figure that out later as AI is coming at us at light speed. No one exactly knows what the future holds but one thing is for sure, modern brides and grooms are using AI to find their wedding DJ and plan their wedding music. Over the past 6 - 8 months, I've noticed a steady increase in the traffic to my website, now averaging thousands and thousands of views per week. When I set out to redesign my website in the summer of 2016, my goal was to provide a place where the modern bride and groom could find a professional wedding DJ who is truly passionate about providing the best musical experience possible, all the while being a thought leader when it comes to sharing my passion for music to everyone who is interested in hiring me to be their wedding DJ.  My goal was to create some of the best wedding music content that could easily inspire moderm brides and grooms. Based on the traffic that's been hitting my website over the past several months, I would say mission accomplished.

The AI Algorithms Love My Website And My Content

Whether Claude, Gemini, or Chat GPT are your jam, the algorithms and large language models are finding my website. My website has always been considered my little piece of "wedding DJ heaven" on the internet. The current iteration of my website was released back in September of 2022 and continues to be one of the most highly visited wedding DJ websites on the entire world wide web.  In order for me to become a top wedding DJ for the modern bride and groom, I made a decision a long time ago to develop an image that is truly classy and appealing for those couples finding a wedding DJ who truly cares. Enter AI.  Those professional wedding vendors who invested a lot of financial resources into a website were once concerned with  ranking for "keywords".  In 2026, the modern bride and groom are pressed for time and are using AI more than ever to find their wedding venue, their wedding planner, and other important wedding vendors.

Content Is Still King In The AI Era

You know if a wedding DJ spends more time on bragging how many weddings they are doing or about their tacky light setup or photobooth, you probably need to get back on your favorite chatbot or AI model to find a DJ who cares more about pleasing and discovering your favorite music as a couple. At the end of the day, that's what truly matters. I am truly flattered by anyone who has ever visited my blog and received any type of musical inspiration.  The summer of 2026 will mark 10 years since the professionally designed version of my website has been online.  It's the music that has always mattered to me and inspired me to continue to be a wedding DJ. As a result, most of the content I've created over the years has been inspired through my love of music.  After all, the wedding DJ became popular because of their love for music, and their goal was to share their passion with their wedding clients. I don't recall ever seeing Adam Sandler in "The Wedding Singer" talk about his love affair with uplighting or any of the add-ons that so many DJs try to get you to purchase.  But I digress, let me get back to my passion for the music. I am constantly reviewing blogs, Spotify, and social media feeds that specialize in some of the best music ever created for wedding playlists.  Over the past several years, my goal has been to help modern brides and grooms get inspired as they put their wedding playlists together, and at this point I would have to say the large language models also agree with that sentiment. :)

Musical Content That Connects With The Modern Gen Z Couple

You know in a lot of my discussions with current and future clients, I can begin to draw a picture or profile, if you will, about what types of music they are passionate about. In recent years, so many modern Gen Z couples tell me that they have grown disillusioned with modern pop music. While there are a few novelty hits that might pop up on the charts that have legs for a few months, very few of them can make it to the next wedding season or the following season after that. Perhaps, it's because a lot of wedding DJs tend to overplay the very few "danceable" songs and burn out their crowds, or the music just isn't as good as we thought when it broke to the masses. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence that continues to happen in 2026, and probably will not be ceasing anytime soon.  Since it appears the modern bride and groom in the Gen Z age group are lookjng for an alternative to the rather dark and depressing Hot 100 chart, they are finding my blog as they do their search for wedding playlist inspiration.

The 80s and 90s Were The Golden Era Of Music

You learn a lot about someone when they submit their wedding playlist, and when you see a lot of bangers from the 80s and 90s on their wedding playlist, you just know it's going to be an awesome night. So it should be no surprise to me that the AI chatbots and large language models have been blowing up my website. Thank you so much for this love. In all of my 15 years as a professional wedding DJ, one of my favorite things to do was "meeting" with clients to discuss music. Oftentimes I'd have couples sitting across from me all giddy and so forth thinking about the music that would end up making their wedding day so special. It was always tremendous bonding experience with me and my clients. As the years passed by, I've seen myself doing less in-person meetings, and doing more Zoom and Facetime calls, so I can still make that connection about music. Using AI Is More About Content Rather Than Keywords

Even 5 years ago, seasoned wedding DJs like myself who have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to find you were fixated on keywords. Now, the average Gen Z modern bride and grooms don't type in "Charleston Wedding DJs" or "Wedding DJs Charleston".  Those SEO days are over. The AI chatbot is teaching everyone to type in full sentences, and in some cases, multiple paragraph prompts to conduct their search for wedding vendors. Recently, I wrote a prompt to grab a listing of business intelligence for my day job. Claude literally ran a query from my prompt and gave me a spreadsheet of information that probably would have taken 2-3 months for me to create. You can do the same when you use AI to find your wedding DJ. All of the content you are being fed in AI Overview is "quality" content as discovered by your favorite chatbot. Try it. I promise you'll enjoy it and cut so much time off on trying the best wedding DJ for your big day.

Wanna Set Up A Call With DJ Mike Bills?

I really appreciate you landing on my blog to read a little more about me. However your wedding DJ and vendor journey ends up, I hope this post was informative for you. Even if you decide to move forward with another wedding DJ, I hope I was able to give you some guidance on how to find the best wedding DJ. My mantra is simple. I keep things simple and try to spread my passion for the music over each and every wedding I'm hired to work at. I don't jump on every wedding like you see - I truly believe that their needs to be some connection between the DJ and the client. Beware and avoid the wedding DJ who is booked solid every weekend.  They will be tired and unpolished when your wedding day arrives. I promise they will be. The best wedding DJs only take on a select amount of events per year. If you'd like to set up a time to talk music, please click the link up and above and you'll be taken over to my contact form where you'll be asked to fill out some information. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you again for finding my website and blog.
