Merchants Hall: Charleston's Newest Wedding Venue By The Historic City Market

The rich, historical backdrop of Charleston continues to make it one of the top wedding destinations in the country. Destination brides and grooms from cities like New York, Chicago, and Boston love choosing the Holy City as their choice for their dream wedding location.  In the downtown area (also known as the peninsula), you'll find cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, historical homes and buildings making it a very idyllic setting for brides and grooms looking to tie the knot in Charleston.  Many of these historical homes and buildings have been transformed into wedding and event spaces during the wedding industry boom that Charleston has experienced over the past decade. Merchants Hall opened back in the spring of 2018, and is quickly growing in popularity for truly beautiful Charleston weddings and private events. Located on the second floor at 36 North Market Street,   this brand new event space offers a very picturesque view of the bustling City Market.

Cannon Green Weddings | Perfect Charleston Ambiance In The Heart Of The City

The growth of the Charleston wedding industry over the past decade has brought with it the introduction of more and more beautiful wedding venues. If you just decided that you'd like to get married in Charleston, but are undecided on your wedding venue, this post could very well help to sway your decision. First and foremost, if you haven't been to Charleston before, you need to be prepared to be blindsided by it's very high level of charm, history, beauty, and romance.  The peninsula of Charleston (also known as downtown) is where you could spend hours and hours on a rickshaw or carriage learning about the city's 300+ year history.  The charm of Charleston can be seen all over the peninsula with historic homes and mansions that have been well maintained over the years.  The owners of some of this real estate have seen fit to offer their properties to the Charleston wedding industry. I mean, what better way to experience the beauty and charm of Charleston than to feel what it was like 200 years ago and get married in an historic, colonial house or mansion? As one of the best Charleston Wedding DJs, it's been my aim to provide helpful content to all my clients coming to the Holy City to get married.  The next stop on my Charleston Wedding Venue tour takes me to Cannon Green.  You'll want to read on to learn more about this popular, new downtown Charleston wedding venue.

The Seabrook Island Club | Luxury Oceanfront Venue For Charleston Weddings

Charleston, SC remains a top wedding destination in the country for many reasons.  Lots of couples choose the Holy City for it's rich history on the peninsula, or for it's taste of the old South with its beautiful plantations for their wedding ceremony and reception. In addition to all it has to offer with it's history, Charleston also has some of the most beautiful beaches. Today's stop on the Charleston Wedding Venue tour takes us to one of the most beautiful private beaches in the greater Charleston area, Seabrook Island. Seabrook Island is a private resort town located about 24 miles south of Charleston. Even though the resort is private, the Seabrook Island Club is also available open to non-members of the community for weddings and private events. For those Charleston brides and grooms who have been dreaming about a luxury wedding at the beach, look no further than the Seabrook Island Club.

Harborside East: Breathtaking Views For Your Charleston Wedding On The Water

Back in August (right before Labor Day weekend), I published a post outlining 5 Great Reasons To Get Married In Charleston. You may check it out by clicking that link, but one of the reason's I spoke of in that post was "Breathtakingly Beautiful Wedding Venues". With Charleston being a city of rich history and charm, and it's downtown area surrounded by bodies of water, there are no shortage of places to have your wedding where you are able to enjoy nice harbor breezes and sunsets. In today's installment of my Charleston Wedding DJ tour, (actually the 4th stop), we're required to travel over one of the symbols of Charleston that opened back in 2005, the Ravenel Bridge. Located in Mt Pleasant and on the Charleston Harbor with one of the best views of Charleston and the iconic Ravenel Bridge, we find Harborside East. Opening in 2010, Harborside East is located in the Motley Rice Building and has become one of Mt. Pleasant's premier wedding venues.  Whether you are a local couple or one of the many wonderful couples coming to Charleston on an annual basis to say their "I Do's", Harborside East is the perfect wedding venue for the couple who wants a posh and upscale atmosphere at a very reasonable price, with a view that is simply priceless.

Boone Hall Plantation: True Southern Charm For Charleston Weddings

Today's stop is the 3rd installment on my Charleston Wedding Venue DJ tour and it takes me over to Boone Hall Plantation. I've seen some of the greatest weddings and parties out at Boone Hall. As one of the top Charleston wedding DJs, I can tell you when it's a Boone Hall Plantation wedding, it's going to be one heck of a party! As I mentioned in my last venue post, which was a trip out to Magnolia Plantation, you'll be hard-pressed to find any wedding venue or location in Charleston to get married where there is NO historical significance. Boone Hall Plantation, located north of Charleston in Mt Pleasant, is one of the oldest working plantations in the South and has easily become one of the Top 5 favorite wedding venues among brides and grooms in the Charleston area.  Charleston has so many wonderful wedding venues and I enjoyed once again stealing some quality time in the middle of the week on a Wednesday afternoon to hang out at one's the finest venues in Charleston, Boone Hall Plantation.

The Cedar Room: One Of Charleston's Finest Wedding Venues

During my travels a few weeks ago downtown as I was running some last minute errands before beginning my "hurrication" in St Augustine, FL for Hurricane Florence, I stopped by The Cedar Room. Ever since the consecutive "Best City" and "Top City" awards have been bestowed upon our beautiful city of Charleston, SC, the wedding industry has seen exponential growth.  Within this boom in the Charleston wedding industry, we've also seen the opening of many beautiful wedding venues, and one of those is The Cedar Room, which is located at the Cigar Factory in downtown Charleston at 701 East Bay Street.
