Jessica & Matt - Chilly Day At Cottage On The Creek

Jessica and Matt came to me after I DJ'ed Jessica's sister's wedding in May 2014. See the prior blog posting from May 2014 for Carrie & Hamilton.Jessica & Matt's special day was actually my first wedding in 2015. No matter how long you have been DJing weddings, the nerves will be there. Since this was my first of the season, I was eager to get that first one underway. It was a cold, overcast February day with a slight chance of rain.

Being right on Shem Creek, we had a breeze, which made the chilly February temps even more uncomfortable. Being set up under the tent, we were protected from the rain, if it were to happen.

Jessica & Matt's wedding ceremony consisted of traditional, classical music, with a celebratory snippit from Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" for the recessional.

Mike Bills Entertainment is your wedding DJ in Charleston committed to a great sound for the ceremony, so as a result he does employ a separate system, consisting of up to 2 lapel mics, one for the officiant, and one for the groom (generally, only if the bride and groom are doing their own vows).

Scattered light rain began during the ceremony, so everyone crowded under the tent. After the ceremony finished, I quickly got the ceremony set up broke down and moved inside to warm up!!!

All in all, Jessica & Matt's special day was an awesome way to kick off the Mike Bills Entertainment wedding season.
