Jamie & Jeff - Late Summer Afternoon At the Carriage House

10 September 2013

All the time, I sit down with brides and grooms and they tell me horror stories of weddings they have been to where the DJ was a "game show host". I make every effort to tell my brides and grooms that the focus is on "them", not "me". The DJ is at your wedding to "compliment" your event and provide a great mix of music, professional announcements and be classy, not tacky. This was one thing that attracted Jamie & Jeff to me and my company.

CEREMONY MUSIC

Pre-Ceremony Music: Vitamin String Quartet (Modern Rock Collection)

BRIDAL PARTY PROCESSION: "I Want To Hold Your Hand" - The Beatles (Vitamin String Quartet)

BRIDE PROCESSION: "God Only Knows" - Beach Boys (Vitamin String Quartet)

RECESSIONAL: "Wouldn't It Be Nice" - Beach Boys

Jamie & Jeff expressed their love for the Talking Heads. It was after I met with them  that I realized how cool the Talking Heads were. They loved their Talking Heads so much that they decided to choose one of their songs for their first dance.

FIRST DANCE: "This Must Be The Place" Talking Heads (From The Stop Making Sense LIVE CD)

BRIDE / FATHER DANCE: "Moonshadow" - Cat Stevens

GROOM / MOTHER DANCE: "Wildflowers" - Tom Petty

FINAL DANCE: "If I Had A $1,000,000" - Barenaked Ladies

Their first dance had a few versions, but they liked the version off the Stop Making Sense LIVE CD. This is something I tend to very particular about. That is, making sure you have the right versions of songs. If I don't have a song in my catalog, I will go ahead and purchase it for you to make sure you have the right version that you want.
