Best Playlist For A Fun Bachelorette Weekend With Your Girls

18 March 2019

Your days as a single lady are numbered. Thankfully you hired a top notch wedding planner, so all of your planning is just about done and well under control.  You are only planning on getting married once so you want all the experiences that lead up to that incredible day to also be perfect as well. Charleston, SC is one of the top two wedding destinations in the country for good reason, but you've already decided you are getting married here. Charleston is also one of the best places to celebrate your last days as a single lady. It's time now to plan your last big party weekend: The Bachelorette Party Weekend. Like your carefully planned wedding day, your bachelorette weekend should also be a weekend where you don't lift a finger. It should be a weekend where Uber is your best friend, and Jack and Fireball are also your good friends. It should be a weekend where you and your besties are treated like queens in the most luxurious party bus and you wake up in your hotel room right on the beach with mimosas in your hand. What could possibly make this girls weekend even better? Music. You'll want to read on as one of the best playlists is organized for you and your besties by one of the top Charleston Wedding DJs.

No fun "girls weekend" could ever be complete without an amazing mix of music. Before you and your besties embark on your girls weekend here in the Holy City, you need to get together and create a Spotify playlist for the hotel room and to have on in your party bus as you take in the sights and sounds of Charleston. You'll want to read on to the end of this post as I'll mention some preferred vendors of mine that you can touch base with to make your Bachelorette Weekend in Charleston even better.

You can find me on Spotify by searching for DJ Mike Bills.  If you don't have Spotify, but still want to hear these songs, you can review this post and hear each song in You Tube by clicking the link in the title of the song.

"Rich Girl" | Hall & Oates
Well, for this weekend (at least), you will be a "rich girl". You'll be carried around in the finest of party buses, and be around all your besties. What more could a girl ask for?  This Hall & Oates classic was released in January of 1977 and went all the way to Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Destination brides from Philadelphia / New Jersey will definitely want to add this into their Bachelorette Weekend playlist in Charleston.

"American Girl" | Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
This song did not actually chart when it was originally released in 1977. In 1994, "American Girl" was re-released and went all the way to #9 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100. Crank this one up when you get into the party bus on your first night in Charleston.

"Run The World" | Beyonce
Run the world? I think running Charleston with all your besties for the weekend is going to be all you can handle.  It's hard to believe we're coming up on 8 years since the release of this track from Beyonce's album "4" back in 2011.

"Hold On" | Wilson-Phillips
I've had the song come up on request lists for some of my weddings. I've had some girls come up to me at private parties. It must be a girl thing, which is why this song is perfect for your bachelorette weekend.  Released in March of 1990, this was Wilson-Phillip's first number 1 song.

"Wanna-Be" | Spice Girls
This debut song by the Spice Girls is perfect for your Charleston bachelorette weekend.  The song would hit the Top 5 on the Mainstream Top 40 and would cross over to the Rhythmic Top 40 and go all the way to the top of the chart.

"I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" | Whitney Houston
This Charleston wedding classic was the first single from Whitney's second album titled "Whitney"  Released in May 1987, the song would reach #1 by June 27, 1987. After Whitney died in 2012, the song charted again, coming in at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"PYT" | Michael Jackson
PYT was the 6th single to be released to radio off his 1982 "Thriller" album. The song peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the fall of 1983.

"Everybody" | Backstreet Boys
Another wedding classic here that was released back in the summer of 1997 as the first single from their album "Backstreet's Back." The song would reach Number 1 in Spain, Romania, and Hungary, but only managed #4 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 charts.

"No Tears Left To Cry" | Ariana Grande
One of the biggest songs of 2018 is the perfect addition to your Charleston bachelorette weekend playlist in 2019 and beyond.  Released back in the spring of 2018, "No Tears Left To Cry" would reach #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #1 on the Hot Dance charts. If you were clubbing with your besties back in the summer of 2018, this song was one of the big singles of Summer 2018.

"Buttons" | Pussycat Dolls
For this next song, we'll rewind just a tad back to the mid 2000s when Facebook was just a cool fad. Released in the spring of 2006, this song was red hot (maybe because of that little Middle-Eastern sound). The song would climb to #3 on the Hot 100 charts, and was heating up dance floors that summer as it hit #1 on the Dance charts.  If you just said to yourself. "Oh wow!", look this song up on the Pussycat Dolls debut album "PCD".

"Baby One More Time" | Britney Spears
You and your besties are gonna hit the town in Charleston with this song cranked inside your awesome looking party bus while sipping on a little champagne. You'll be partying like it's 1998 or 1999 again and you'll be excited with all your friends just like you were when you first heard Britney on the radio.

"Worth It" | Fifth Harmony
Hot girl groups go well with a Bachelorette Weekend in Charleston.  Camila Cabello had not broke on her own yet when this song peaked at #12 in the spring and summer of 2015.

"Hotline Bling" | Drake
It's hard to believe it's been 3 years since Drake dropped this song.  It was the first single to be released from his album "Views". Released in the summer of 2015, the song would reach Number 2 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the rhythmic chart.

"Roses" | Chainsmokers
I don't even think you hear "Roses" in this song, but it's killer song for you and your besties to hear when you are getting ready for an incredible night at the clubs here in Charleston.  Be sure to ask the DJ throw this one on for you. The song would reach #1 on the Dance / Electronic charts back in the summer / fall of 2015.

"Lean On" | Major Lazer
More electronic music here for you and your ladies.  Spotify named this the most streamed song of all time with 1 billion streams by the summer of 2017.  The song would peak at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"Call Me Maybe" | Carly Rae Jepsen
Even 7 years after it's release, you know that you and your besties are going to sing this song at the top of your lungs when you hear it. Released in the fall of 2011, this song would reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and is still a recurrent song showing up on the Charleston wedding playlists.

"Cheerleader" | OMI (Felix Jaenz Remix)
My personal favorite to mix is this Felix Jaenz remix. It's got an awesome beat to it, and you and your besties will love it!.  The song was one of the biggest songs from the summer of 2014 and soared all the way to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Diva" | Beyonce
Your bachelorette weekend here in Charleston is an excellent opportunity to be treated like a diva as you are driven downtown in style in your personal and luxurious party bus.  "Diva" would make it all the way to Number 1 on the Hot Dance charts.

"Independent Women" Part 1 | Destiny's Child
This is your last big party weekend with your best friends as an "independent woman". Enjoy it and have the time of your life. Charleston is the perfect location for this last big single weekend. But don't get too "independent" because you have the man of your dreams to marry.  "Independent Women" was released at the end of the summer of 2000 and would go all the way to #1 on the Hot 100.

"I Like It" | Cardi B
Where there is a Cardi B song playing on the radio or on the dance floor, there are always a group of ladies dancing.  Released just in time for the summer of 2018, Cardi B teamed with Bad Bunny and J . Balvin for this #1 song in 2018.

"Respect" | Aretha Franklin
In honor of her passing back in 2018, you and your besties need to crank up this Aretha song in the party bus. Originally released by Otis Redding in 1965, Aretha made it one of the biggest songs in the summer of 1967.

"No Scrubs" | TLC
Just think you are marrying the man of your dreams who isn't broke and isn't lazy like this classic from TLC says. ;) Take a listen to this song and you'll be thankful your single days are almost over. We've just celebrated the 20th anniversary of "No Scrubs". Released in February of 1999, the song would reach #1 on the Billboard charts, and be one of the biggest songs of 1999.

"Promiscuous" |  Nelly Furtado Feat. Timbaland
This song was red hot on dance floors in the summer of 2006. But hold on! You can't be promiscuous, but you can watch all your single besties have fun.  I love me some Nelly Furtado.  The song would reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Material Girl" | Madonna
"Material Girl" was the second single to be released to radio from the album "Like A Virgin". When you watch the vide for this song down below, you'll be reminded that diamonds are a girls best friend. :)  The song would reach #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

"Poker Face" | Lady Gaga
"Poker Face" was the follow-up to her debut song "Just Dance" released back in the fall of 2008.  No surprises here, but the song reached #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 charts, as well as Hot Dance charts.
