Charleston Wedding DJ | The Best Mix Of Music Guaranteed For Your Big Day

06 July 2018

Stop and close your eyes for a minute. Think about this. You'll soon be married to your dream guy or dream girl. You have decided to get married in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You have dreamed about this day for many years.   You deserve nothing less than perfection on your wedding day; from the venue to the caterer and everything else in between. As a professional wedding DJ who has forged an impeccable reputation as one of the best Charleston wedding DJs, I want to make sure that you and your family enjoy everything about your day from a musical perspective. I've mentioned in prior posts that your "wedding is never looked on as just another gig" as there is LOTS of activity that is performed behind the scenes to make sure everything is perfect. Your perfect wedding day and soundtrack begins at the time of booking and continues with preparation in the months and days leading up to your wedding day here in Charleston. Because Mike Bills Entertainment is comprised of just "one excellent wedding DJ", you'll have the chance to explain your vision to me without any middle men. Being a professional wedding DJ is something I take very seriously, and I hope as you are on your wedding planning journey that you review my website and see what it is I am all about.

The Songs You Hear Need To Be About YOU

Every song you hear at your wedding reception should piece together the soundtrack that everyone will remember during your day and for many years after your big day. Right after you book with me, we'll begin to create a customized list of songs that are truly about you and your family. And when you've chosen all the songs for your playlist, it will be my professionalism and perfect timing that will create an awesome vibe for your reception.

A DJ Who Is There For You Every Step Of The Way
One of my biggest mantras is for brides and grooms to meet their wedding DJ before one of the biggest days of their lives. With the bulk of my clients coming to Charleston from all over the country, the power of modern technology is allowing prospective clients to connect with me even easier. Everyone is moving at 1000 mph these days, so I like to give my clients the flexibility to meet me at their leisure. I am available by Skype of Facetime to "say hello", and to give guidance and advice on selecting music and planning all the other details for your Charleston wedding. And when you are coming into Charleston the week of your wedding, I like to meet my clients for brief courtesy meeting to go over any last minute details. The brief face-to-face meeting usually relieves a lot of nervousness for the brides and grooms too.

Announcements Made By A Consummate Professional
While there are some DJs who "pretend" to know how to speak on the microphone and think that their "club" demeanor is ok for weddings, I have a true professional voice that you would want to have at your Charleston wedding. This experience was gained after many years on the air at various radio stations here in the Charleston area. Brides and grooms need to care about how announcements will be made at their reception, because you don't want just anyone on the microphone.

The Best Mix Of Music Served Up For You And Your Guests
You would think that in 2018 that all the cheesy wedding DJs would have been put out of business. Unfortunately, this is not the case. From Day 1, it's been one of my main focuses to create the best mix of music, all while leaving the cheesy music at home. Check out this hour of music down below taken from a recent wedding. The music you see was meant to be played in this order.
"Brown Eyed Girl" | Van Morrison | 1967

"September" | Earth - Wind & Fire | 1978

"Can't Stop The Feeling" | Justin Timberlake | 2016

"24K Magic" | Bruno Marrs | 2017

"Billie Jean" | Michael Jackson | 1983

"Love Shack" | The B52s | 1989

"Satisfaction" | The Rolling Stones | 1965

"The Twist" | Chubby Checker | 1960

"Lets Stay Together" | Al Green | 1972

"Black Betty" | Ram Jam | 1975

"Jump Around" | House Of Pain | 1992

"Yeah" | Usher | 2004

"Thrift Shop" | Mackelmore | 2012

"Turn Down For What" | DJ Snake | 2014

"Party Rock Anthem" | LMFAO | 2009

"Gangnam Style" | Psy | 2012

"Despacito" | Justin Bieber / Luis Fonsi | 2017

"Livin On A Prayer" | Bon Jovi | 1986

The song selections from up above represent about an hour of music to get the party started at your Charleston wedding. It's an excellent mix designed to get all the different ages that are represented at your wedding out on the dance floor. While every wedding has a different crowd, these selections are a great start in selecting your music without any of the cheesy line dances that are being left off modern wedding playlists today.

One of The Best Charleston Wedding DJs Who Is ALL Music
I decided a long time ago not to offer any upgrades for my clients and be strictly a "music" DJ. After all if you look the definition of a "disc jockey", Merriam Webster says it's an "announcer of a radio show" or "someone who plays recorded music for dancing." In an effort to remain focused on providing the best musical experience possible for my clients, I have forged relationships with some of the best wedding vendors in Charleston that include luxury photo booths, as well as tasteful uplighting and classy event lighting. Be sure to check out my preferred vendors page for these vendors and a whole lot more.
