"Push It" | Salt & Pepa
The perfect way to kick off Part 6 Of The Most Requested Songs For Wedding Playlist is with some 80s hip-hop.  "Push It" was released in the spring of 1987 and can be found on the album Hot, Cool & Vicious.  The song would peak at #1 on the Hot Dance Singles chart.

"A Thousand Years" | Christina Perri
You just had to know when Twilight was released to movie theaters back in 2011 that portions of it's soundtrack would become very popular for wedding ceremonies and receptions.  "A Thousand Years" would peak at #7 on the Adult Top 40 charts after it's release in the fall of 2011.

"Hot In Herre" | Nelly
VH1 would rank "Hot In Herre" at #36 on it's 100 Greatest Songs Of Hip Hop in 2008. The song was released back in the spring of 2002 and peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the Hot Rap Songs chart.

"Shots" | LMFAO / Lil Jon
Speaking of more rap and hip-hop for your wedding playlist, we've come to quite  popular song for those late night receptions where the bride and grooms and their guests are starting those "shots".  When "Shots" was released in the fall of 2009, wedding dance floors got a little "crunk".

"Treasure" | Bruno Marrs
"Treasure" was released back in the spring of 2013 and would become one of the most popular wedding songs that year, and would become a real strong wedding recurrent song. The song would peak at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"Time Of Our Lives" | Pitbull Feat. Ne-Yo
When you put together the music for your wedding playlist, you should stack together  a bunch of songs that will allow you and your guests to have the "time of your lives". Pitbull and Ne-Yo would come together and release "Time Of Our Lives" in the autumn of 2014 and score a #1 on the Rhythmic chart, as well as the Dance Club Songs chart.

"Give Me Everything" | Pitbull Feat Ne-Yo/ Afrojack & Nayer
Released in March of 2011, "Give Me Everything" became a popular choice for the Grand Entrance Song by quite a few of my wedding clients.  The song would peak at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is still a heavy request favorite in the years after it's release.

"Fireball" | Pitbull Feat. John Ryan
Back in the summer of 2014, brides and grooms were making the bar at their wedding was stocked with plenty of Fireball. Pitbull would team up with John Ryan and release "Fireball"  breaking into the Top 5 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

"Chicken Fried" | Zac Brown Band
If you happen to like your chicken "fried", and your cold beer on a Friday night perhaps you can tell your caterer and bartender this and have your wedding on a Friday instead of a Saturday. "Chicken Fried" was released back in the summer of 2008 and would peak at #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

"Marry Me" | Train
Some modern brides and grooms might think it's a tad cliche to put a song called "Marry Me" on a wedding playlist. Ok, if that's how you feel, then go ahead and take a look at my Best Proposal Songs Playlist. Released in the fall of 2010, "Marry Me" would peak at #3 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 2011.

"Fancy" | Iggy Azalea / Chali XCX
Iggy Azalea would team up with Charli XCX in 2014 and everything would be mighty "Fancy" on dance floors at every wedding across America.  "Fancy" would peak at #1 on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B charts in 2014 / 2015.

 "Watch Me" | Silento
Silento might have had one of the biggest songs of 2015 with "Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae)". If there are children at the wedding, this is definitely a song to add into the mix.  "Watch Me" would peak at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

 "Dancing Queen" | ABBA
And just like that, we transport from 2015 back to 1976 for one of the most popular songs to come out of Sweden.  "Dancing Queen" was the first song to be released from their album Arrival, and would easily become their signature song and peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Can't Help Falling In Love" | Elvis Presley
"Can't Help Falling Love" is one of the most requested Elvis songs by any of my wedding clients. It's been covered in recent songs by amazing singers like Haley Reinhart, but modern brides and grooms keep coming back for the classic Elvis from the early 60s. Check out this selection of 31 First Dance Song Choices <----check out this link. You'll find this classic Elvis song on there, along with many others for your first dance.

"The Way You Make Me Feel" | Michael Jackson
What have I said all along about songs by Michael Jackson? Well, you should add them into your wedding playlist because people will have fun. This is one of those songs!  The song would be the third single to hit radio from his album Bad, and would  make it all the way to Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. I am sure you are not surprised by that as that was VERY normal for MJ in the 80s.  For more of the Best Michael Jackson Songs For Your Wedding Playlist <---- click here.

"Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" | Michael Jackson
Another Michael Jackson song here. You know the drill. "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" was released back during the summer of 1979  and would become the 2nd single from MJ to hit Number 1 on the Hot 100 chart. The song is first track on his album Off The Wall

"Party In The USA" | Miley Cyrus
It simply does not matter who you are; young or old. When your wedding DJ fires up "Party In The USA",  most wedding guests do respond! The song was released back in the summer of 2009 and would peak at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"Wannabe" | Spice Girls
With 90s nostalgia in full swing in recent years, this smash hit from the Spice Girls has been showing up quite frequently on wedding playlists. The song was released in January of 1997 and would peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"Build Me Up Buttercup" | Foundations
And now we come to the portion of the Most Requested Songs For Wedding Playlists where it's ok to throw on some old school beach music.  Especially if you are having a wedding in Charleston, your wedding DJ should have this song in their collection.  For more of The Best Beach Music Songs For Your Wedidng Playlist. <----Click here on this link.

"Jump Around" | House Of Pain
Early 90s hip hop. And this song was released about one month before I graduated from high school.  Released on May 5, 1992, "Jump Around" would become one of the biggest songs of the summer of 1992 and peak at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.  For even more songs to make you jump, check out the Best Songs For Your Wedding Playlist That Will Make You Jump. <----Click here.

"Thriller" | Michael Jackson
More Michael Jackson. Rinse. Repeat. It just so happens this might his signature song of the 80s.  I won't go into too much detail except for the fact that the music video was scary to young kids back in the 80s.

"Play That Funky Music" | Wild Cherry
There are some wedding DJs who are burned out on this track, but I still tend to think it's quite the banger and with the right crowd can still get the party going. Wild Cherry would release this song in the spring of 1976 and it would peak at #1 on the Hot 100, as well as the Hot Soul Singles chart. For more song about funk, check out The Best Funk Songs For Your Wedding Playlist <----- Check out this link.

"Raise Your Glass" | Pink
Back in the fall of 2010, Pink would release the ultimate "Get The Party Started" (no pun intended) song to kick off the festivities at your wedding.  "Raise Your Glass" would make to #1 on the Hot 100, as well as the Adult Top 40 chart and become a popular choice for The Grand Entrance Song.

"Blurred Lines" | Robin Thicke / Pharrell / TI
Ask any wedding DJ and they'll tell you that the most popular song in all of 2013 on wedding dance floors was "Blurred Lines".  The song was so popular that it peaked at #1 in 25 countries and has become a top recurrent wedding song since it's release.
