Historic Rice Mill Summer Wedding: Angelica & Jordan

03 July 2016

Most modern brides and grooms find me by way of my professionally designed website. Some couples will find me by way of a vendor referral or even a referral of a venue.  How about a groom actually seeing me in action at one of my weddings from a few years prior?  When I originally received an inquiry from Angelica's mother, it was discussed that she had found me on Google. When I eventually met Angelica & Jordan in the months leading up to their wedding, Jordan had told me he seen me at one of my weddings from 2014. That wedding would be an amazing celebration from a destination wedding couple from Philadelphia, Reese & Courtney, and would become one of the most memorable weddings of all of 2014. Apparently, Jordan was working part time for one of the premier catering companies in the area and saw me DJ. When I found this out, I was quite humbled that I hadmade that type of impression. To have made such an impact such an someone that they would make a mental note to hire me to be their DJ a full 2 years after seeing me in action was quite the compliment. Angelica & Jordan's  amazing wedding reception at the Historic Rice Mill would occur on July 2, 2016, which would kick off the beginning of an incredible 4th of July weekend

While summer used to be more of a down part of the wedding year in Charleston, it's popularity has increased over the past several years due to the uptick in destination brides and grooms coming to Charleston to get married. As mentioned up above, the wedding season was extending into one of those hot Charleston summers, rolling into a July 4th weekend, and Angelica and Jordan had quite the crowd coming into Charleston from all over the country.  Angelica & Jordan enjoyed the ability to log into my website and select their songs. Their  playlist is listed down below.   It was an incredibly fun night that wrapped up around 12:30am.  After a few days of rest,  Angelica & Jordan would be on their way for a beautiful wedding in the Aloha State of Hawaii.

Looking To Hire Mike Bills To Be Your Wedding DJ?
You know I still look on Angelica & Jordan's night at the Historic Rice Mill as one of the funnest wedding receptions of all of 2016.  But one of the most memorable parts of working with them is how they found me. I'm not one of those wedding DJs who goes to a wedding in hopes of passing out 50 business cards or am I one of those wedding DJs who hang incredibly tacky signs or banners to try to market themselves.  In a very crowded wedding market, it's important to be on your A Game at all times. For someone to see me perform at a high level a few years before they would hire me and to remember that night speaks volumes and is not something I take lightly at all.  I  am always extremely humbled to be picked out of a bunch of wedding DJs to help create the perfect soundtrack for a couple's wedding day.  If you should be interested in hiring me, you need to be prepared for an amazing experience.  That amazing experience includes convenient online planning of your music and timeline, as well as unlimited consultation in person, or by Skype or Facetime for those couples who are not in the Holy City and are looking for convenience when it comes to hiring their wedding DJ.  Thank you so very much for making it to the end of this blog post. If you see something on my website or blog that has inspired you to contact me, let us talk very soon. One thing you need to understand is that no matter which city you are getting married in, No Wedding DJs Are Created Equal". For me personally, I decided a long time ago that "quality" was far more important than "quantity" so I am only available for ONE wedding day, and should you save your date with ME, you'll have me for the entire day, unlike other wedding DJ services.  Just click on the link up above to be taken over to my contact form  so that you can fill out some details of your special day and we will set up a time to talk soon. I look forward to speaking with you about your upcoming wedding.
