Goldbug Island Wedding | Summer Love Of Elayna + Thomas
Goldbug Island is a beautiful wedding venue owned by the East Cooper Outboard Motor Club. Goldbug Island As you are travelling up Ben Sawyer Blvd toward the Ben Sawyer Bridge and Sullivan's Island, you need to slow down or you might just miss the turn off to Goldbug. Goldbug Island has a gorgeous view of the Intracoastal Waterway right near Sullivan's Island. That view of the waterway served as the backdrop to the wonderful summer wedding ceremony of Elayna & Thomas back on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Elayna & Thomas found me back in the spring, and as the weeks and months approached and I began to gather and assemble all the music for their playlist, it was very apparent they were seriously into their music. When a couple is really into their music as much as Elayna & Thomas were, their playlist selections become the soundtrack to the biggest day of their lives. As expected, being the second weekend of July, the weather was a bit hot and humid, but since the guests were in close proximity to the water for the wedding ceremony, as well as cocktail hour, there was a nice breeze that cooled us off before we moved back inside to the cold air conditioning for the dinner social time and dancing later in the night.

After the splendid wedding ceremony, Elayna & Thomas and the bridal party and family got pictures done while all the guests got to enjoy some beverages during cocktail hour til around 7pm when the guests moved inside for dinner and dancing.

As the guests all moved inside, we were anxiously awaiting the introduction of the bridal party and to get the reception underway. The cool air conditioning was a welcome relief after the ceremony and cocktail hour being held outside. We'd need the air conditioning to cool all the guests off during an impressive night of dancing.

What a beautiful night it turned into for Elayna & Thomas. Both loved to dance and their guests all danced around them through out the night leading up to their sparkler sendoff. This newly married couple had the pleasure of spending a relaxing week in Mexico for their honeymoon. I really enjoyed that night. Elayna & Thomas made the music about them and when a couple does that and is really into their music, it makes for an incredible evening of dancing and fun. The summer is rolling on and I am looking forward to the fall for numerous reasons and have been reaching out to all my fall brides and grooms. While I tend to love summer weather, I am actually looking forward to some autumn weather in Charleston. Unfortunately, I'll need to wait a little longer for that :).
