Christy & Clayton | Marion's In The French Quarter | Wedding DJ Playlist

27 May 2018

Through the power of internet web search and one of my best friend's (Google), Christy's mother found me last summer and inquired about my services. Christy and Clayton had met here in Charleston while the both of them were in college. Christy had been attending the College Of Charleston, and Clayton was attending the Citadel. After graduation, they moved to Atlanta, and that is actually where they are living currently. They had their wedding ceremony at the Summerall Chapel, which is on the campus of the Citadel on the afternoon of Saturday, April 21, and I had the pleasure of being their DJ for their cocktail hour and wedding reception. Their wedding reception was held at Marion's In The French Quarter, which is located at 159 East Bay Street. It had been a while since I had been to Marion's, but it didn't take me long to remember what a beautiful place it is to hold a Charleston wedding reception or private event. Marion's literally is right smack dab in the middle of the historic downtown Charleston district. It's just a quick walk away from the beautiful Charleston harbor, and those famous cobblestone streets that tell you that you are in Charleston. Read on for some of the great songs that Christy & Clayton chose for their playlist,

As for the music for their cocktail hour and wedding reception, Christy and Clayton picked out a great amount of their music and chose some really fun songs that kept all their guests on the dance floor all night long. Upon booking me as your Charleston Wedding DJ, all brides and grooms are set up an account to log into an online portal that is created on my website. Here brides and grooms can map out the fine details of their wedding day, plan a basic timeline, and most importantly choose their music.  This is an important feature for brides and grooms like Christy and Clayton who are not in Charleston and need to piece together the details for their wedding.  For more information on how this online portal works for your wedding, check out this post from my blog: Log In To Create The Perfect Wedding DJ Playlist and also check out my Weddings Page on my website for more helpful quick links. Now, let's get back to Christy and Clayton and what they had on their wedding playlist.

It was a really fun time for Christy & Clayton's wedding reception at Marion's In The French Quarter. With all the fun that was had on their wedding day, they quickly became one of my favorite couples of 2018. In the coming years, Charleston is going to continue to grow as the Number 2 wedding destination in the country, so I am sure I am going to see more great couples like Christy & Clayton choose me as their wedding DJ. Nearly all of my clients in recent years are couples coming to Charleston from other larger cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, or New York City.
Booking Charleston Weddings In Late 2018 & 2019
Thank you very much for making it to the end of another one of my blog posts. By making it to the end of another one of my blog posts, you've gotten lost in my musical world. Perhaps you liked some of the songs you've seen on this post and want to add them into your own Charleston wedding playlist? I am happy to say that I do have some fall dates available in 2018, and I am beginning to fill up for 2019. I absolutely love talking to recently engaged brides and grooms about music. As I've stated before, no DJ can ever assume that every wedding that they perform at is going to be the same. Every couple is different, as well as their family and guests, so it's impossible to say that every wedding will have in it the same songs. This is what makes my job so fun. It's very fun to sit down and get to know a couples tastes in music. These consultations begin to draw a picture of how their wedding DJ playlist will be. If you are recently engaged and looking to meet with one of Charleston's top wedding DJs, I would love to talk with you. Click HERE to tell me a little more about your big day.
