"Boot Scootin Boogie" |  Brooks & Dunn
The requests for country line dances are becoming very few and far between for most all of my clients, but occasionally there might be a request for this early 90s country classic.  Brooks & Dunn would record their version for their album Brand New Man and release it in May of 1992.

 "Amazed" | Lonestar
The late 90s saw a lot of country acts releasing songs that would also crossover to the Billboard Hot 100 and Adult contemporary charts. "Amazed" would be released in the spring of 1999 and become one of the most popular songs of the year.

"Bye Bye Bye" | N Sync
Boy bands are still a thing on wedding playlists, so don't knock it unitl you've tried it. You know you want to throw some of the best boy bands on your wedding playlist. <---Check out this link for more boy bands.

"Crazy Little Thing Called Love" | Queen
The very first Number 1 song on the Hot 100 in 1980, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" would later be covered by Michael Buble.  I love to throw this song on during dinner. I love the vibe of it.

 "Bohemian Rhapsody" | Queen
This signature song by Queen that can be found on the album A Night At The Opera has been a very popular choice for the last song of the evening.  While the song charted in the 70s, it also charted in the spring of 1992 and would peak at #2 on the Hot 100 as it appeared on the soundtrack of Wayne's World.

"Macarena" | Los Del Rio
Perhaps other wedding DJs still play this music alot, but this once #1 song on the Hot 100 in 1996 shows up more on The Do Not PlayList for a lot of modern brides and grooms.  For more information on The Importance Of A Do Not PlayList <-----Check out this link.

"Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" | Stevie Wonder
Signature Stevie Wonder right here and a song that brides and grooms and their guests still respond to after 50 years since it's release. The song would peak at #1 on the Billboard R&B chart, as well as #3 on the Hot 100 in 1970.

"I've Had The Time Of My Life" | Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes
If there was ever a movie that produced a lot of great songs you STILL hear at weddings decades and decades after it's release, the movie would be Dirty Dancing.  Modern brides and grooms still love this song that was released in July 1987 in advance of the movie in August of that year. The song would peak at #1 on the Hot 100, as well as the adult contemporary chart and is still a heavy favorite for the last song of the night. For more insight on The Dirty Dancing Soundtrack At Weddings <----check out this link.

 "Everything" | Michael Buble
This instant wedding classic by Michael Buble was released back in the spring of 2007 and would top out at #1 on the Adult Contemporary charts.  For more of the most requested soft rock songs of the 2000s, <----click over to this link.

"Honey I'm Good" | Andy Grammer
One of the more catchy pop songs in recent years, Andy Grammar would release this song in the fall of 2014, and go all the way to Number 1 on the Adult Top 40 charts.

"Beat It" | Michael Jackson
There isn't much more I can say about Michael Jackson, other than the lack of his music on your playlist might mean less fun on the dance floor during your wedding reception.  "Beat It" would be the third song to be released from the album Thriller and would peak at #1 on the Hot 100 chart in 1983.

"I'm Yours" | Jason Mraz
I knew when I heard "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz for the first time that it would quickly become a staple on the recurrent wedding playlist of a lot of modern brides and grooms.  Released in 2008, the song was the first to be released from the album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.  "I'm Yours" would peak at #1 on the adult contemporary and Mainstream Top 40 chart in 2008.

"Wake Me Up" | Avicii
Back in the summer of 2013, Avicii, who is a record producer and DJ from Sweden would release "Wake Me Up". You can find it on his album True, and "Wake Me Up" would peak at #4 on the Hot 100 chart.

"Cruise" | Florida Georgia Line Feat. Nelly
What do you get when you cross country and rap? You get this infectious songs from 2012 and 2013 that was a very popular song requests for weddings. The original release garnered a Top 20 position on the Hot 100, but when Nelly was brought in for a remix, the song would then re-enter the chart and peak at #4.

"Teach Me How To Dougie" | Cali Swag District
I can promise you that I am not one of those wedidng DJs who will get out on the dance floor to show you how to do the Dougie, but I'll kindly play this song that was hot back in the summer of 2010. The song was quite the novelty in 2010, but only could garner a #6 position on the Hot Rap songs chart.

"Firework" | Katy Perry
Either you'll put this song on your wedding playlist or you'll download my playlist from Spotify of The Best Soundtrack For A Bachelorette Weekend and play it with your bridesmaids when you are out on the town.  Reelased in the fall of 2010, "Firework" would reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Unchained Melody" | Righteous Brothers
Another song for the wedding playlist gold category. This song transcends all ages and is the perfect song to put a cherry on top of your night and get everyone out on the dance floor for a nice slow dance.

"Want To Want Me" | Jason Derulo
Back in 2015, Jason Derulo would release the 4th album of his career, Everything Is 4. "Want To Want Me" would be the first single to be released and would become a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Best Day Of My Life" | American Authors
"Best Day Of My Life" is one of those infectious songs that when you hear it for the first time, you just know it's going to be added to a lot of wedding playlists.  It's been known  to be a popular choice for the recessional song at the end of your wedding ceremony. <--Click here for more recessional song choices.

 "Jessie's Girl" | Rick Springfield
Not quite sure the allure of this song for modern brides and grooms and their wedding playlist, but this early 80s classic still gets a lot of spins at weddings.  Released in the winter of 1981, "Jessie's Girl" would peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" | Aerosmith
It's still hard to  believe that one of the hardest rocking bands from the 70s and 80s would get their only #1 song in the summer of 1998 with a lovely ballad like this. From the Armegeddon Soundtrack, the song would peak at #1 in September of 1998. For more ideas for some of the Perfect First Dance Songs ideas, <---Check out this link.
