Kristin & Sam - Tropical Storm Ana - Rivertowne Country Club

11 May 2015

Kristin & Sam originally booked me back in August of 2014. Their special day continued a VERY busy May with one of Charleston's premier DJ services, Mike Bills Entertainment. In 2015, Mike Bills Enterntainment had SEVEN weddings on the calendar.

Despite not being tasked to do the ceremony music, I always like to keep tabs on how things will size up in the weather department.  A very rare formation of a May tropical storm, "Ana" was looking to possibly cause some showers and winds.

Ana was passing by the South Carolina during the afternoon of May 9th. On the way over, skies were dark in the Mt. Pleasant area and I had ran into squalls. Upon arriving at Rivertowne Country Club, it had just rained, and the sun had come out. Due to the uncertainty of the weather, the decision was made to move the ceremony into the back porch area.

After the ceremony, all the guests moved upstairs for cocktail hour and reception.  Showers from Tropical Storm Ana remained into the evening, but it didn't matter because a very special wedding reception was about to unfold.

BRIDAL PARTY INTRODUCTION MUSIC

"Uptown Funk" - Mark Ronson / Bruno Marrs

Kristin & Sam's FIRST DANCE:

"On A night Like This" - Dave Barnes

Father / Daughter Dance:

"I Loved Her First" - Heartland

Mother / Son Dance:

"What A Wonderful World" - Tony Bennett & KD Lang

All in all, despite the showers and strong breezes from an early Tropical Storm Ana, it was a fun afternoon and evening.  Another exceptional performance by yours truly:)
