Dieter & Alice Burundi Drums & African Vibe At Alhambra Hall

21 July 2013

Alhambra Hall provides an excellent backdrop for photos and a great feel for social occasions as it overlooks the harbor within the Old Village of Mt Pleasant.Having met Dieter & Alice back in March as they booked me, I knew this would be an extremely entertaining and NOT your typical wedding reception. Their reception was one of the most interesting and entertaining I have done to date.

Alice is African and when her and Dieter booked me, they let me know that there would be a large amount of African and Samba line dance music needed. I told them, "No problem, I aim to please and will play anything that you need me to play,"

However, it wasn't until the weeks leading up to the wedding that I would find out I would be accompanied by 10 Burundian drummers, which would do a few performances during the evening. Wow!

The introduction of the bride & groom had about a 8-10 minute performance with the Burundian drummers, followed by the official introduction of Dieter & Alice as husband and wife and to enjoy their first dance together.
