BEWARE | An Epic Fail For Wedding Ceremony Music

12 June 2016

Mike Bills Entertainment prides itself on providing an exceptional wedding DJ experience for Charleston SC area brides and grooms in both the execution of wedding ceremony music, as well as a professionally choreographed reception. Earlier this year, Mike Bills Entertainment began to produce short audio podcasts in regards to some of the major parts of wedding planning when it comes to music. Back on January 29th, a blog entry / podcast was posted about ceremony music. A link to that blog entry is posted at the end of this blog entry. Go take a listen. Upon doing a Facebook search, I came across this photo of a wedding ceremony that appeared to be just wrapping up. See below.

Such a beautiful couple in this photo! What destroyed the moment for me are the UGLY speakers IN FRONT where the bride and groom and bridal party are positioned. Not only is one of the speakers badly dinged and damaged, but this is an eye sore. This destroys the beautiful setting of your wedding ceremony site. You picked your wedding ceremony site for reason and the setting in this photo has been ruined. The fact that you spent thousands on flowers means nothing to beautify this setting because of those speakers. The judgment of this DJ service was certainly not one of professionalism. Placement of speakers could possibly be on the ground out of view in front, or ideally the speakers are placed to the side or in the back. You have to ask yourself the question, do you want to look at those speakers 10 years after the fact or do you want a truly beautiful, worry free ceremony not ruined by an amateur DJ? There are amateur DJs, most of which are “services” which employ 8-10 DJs, and are also “franchises”. Your photographer will appreciate a professional wedding DJ too. Your photographer will be taking lots of ceremony photos to get the best pictures. Editing a speaker out of your wedding photos is not a “work-smarter not harder” mentality. What if the absolute best pose has the speakers in your pictures and cannot be edited out? Better to be safe than sorry and hire a true professional and polished wedding DJ. When you begin your search, do a Google search for the DJ franchises and stay away from them. A professional wedding DJ will set their ceremony equipment up away from the beautiful setting. See below for the link to the January 29th posting which includes the podcast about professional wedding ceremony music for your Charleston SC wedding.
