Best Of DJ Mike Bills: A Modern Wedding DJ Whose Style Is Classy And Elegant
Are you getting married in one of the most beautiful cities in the country in 2020 or beyond? I would love very much to be your Charleston Wedding DJ and work with you one on one to create an amazing mix of the music you know and love. Let me allow myself right now to be a little thankful during this holiday season and reflect a tad on some of my accomplishments this year. Sometimes you just have to sit back and close your eyes and be thankful that you have literally one of the coolest jobs on the planet. But before I go on, I should say it doesn't really feel like work when you truly love what you do. It's been another truly great year for my company, as I have gotten to work with another great set of modern brides and grooms who chose to get married in this beautiful city. The Mike Bills Podcast was launched back on November 1 and is one of a kind in the Charleston wedding market, providing brides and grooms yet another angle for highly valuable content needed in making one of the most important decisions during their wedding planning process. How did I get here? It all started years ago when I DJ'ed my first wedding and developed an undying passion which has been to change the narrative when the topic of the "wedding DJ" came up in conversation among brides and grooms.
You haven't stumbled upon my website because you are looking for landscaping tips or recipes for a creme brulee, although I might be able to give you a few because I love to work in my yard during my freetime, and love to cook when I get a chance. You've stumbled upon my website through the power of Google because you have a strong desire to find a great wedding DJ for your big day in the Holy City. I would love for you to give me a chance to speak with you about your wedding. There is no need for you to be scared about your hiring your wedding DJ anymore. I'm very serious about what I do and the different approach that I try to take with every client who hires me as their wedding DJ. The content you see on my website, as well as on my blog, and now podcast has been all created for you to educate yourself about making the best hiring decision as it pertains to your wedding DJ.
Never Your Typical Wedding DJ
I am very happy to be in a new modern generation of wedding DJs. You know, the one's who stay behind their DJ booth or table, and also the one's who do their darndest to keep the line dances away from your wedding reception. And even more importantly, the one's who strive to keep the spotlight OFF of them and ON the bride and groom. Unlike a lot of other wedding DJs in Charleston or Savannah who decide to just "show up" or to be honest "don't show up at all", I made a decision a long time ago that being a "professional wedding DJ" meant so much more than "just" playing music and entertaining the crowd. It means providing an overall experience from the time that a bride and groom book until the last note is played of the very last song of your wedding reception. Anyone can just "show up", but it's real professional wedding DJs who show that they genuinely care about the success of your wedding.
Specializing In Charleston Weddings
It takes a DJ with the proper finesse to work with a bride and groom to understand their musical vision. While some DJs create cookie-cutter playlist that they end up using at their weddings, it's been my goal to customize my client's experience. If you ever meet a wedding DJ who says every wedding is the same, just move on to meet with your next DJ, which of course will hopefully be me. Did you know that different brides and grooms have different musical tastes? If every couple had the same musical tastes, I'm not sure I would love being a wedding DJ, as things might get boring, but when you open up the playlist to a bride and groom and allow them to create their playlist, an amazing thing happens: ONE BIG PARTY.
Exceptional Musical Knowledge
If you take a look at some of the best DJs from the golden era of radio; the 50s and 60s, they spun records. These DJs were very knowledgeable about their music; and in some instances these DJs were using their expertise to introduce listeners to new music. While those days in radio are long gone, the passion I have for music is still present and continues to grow every day. Since it's the music that matters, I've developed an excellent relationship with lighting companies, as well as photobooth companies. Trust me, you want a DJ whose primary focus is on the music. I want to do ONE thing and do it EXCELLENT, not do 5 things and do them average. It's the music that matters.
