5 Popular Wedding Venues Around The Charleston SC Area

22 May 2016

Did you know that Charleston, SC has become one of the most popular wedding destinations in the country in recent years?  I believe I've heard that we place second behind Las Vegas as a top wedding destination. So, for those destination brides and grooms who are not into the gimmicky quick weddings of Las Vegas, there is Charleston, SC. And Charleston, SC has so much to offer. The beaches. The food. The history. The atmosphere.  For more on reasons to get married in Charleston, SC <----be sure to click over to this link.  Should you decide to get married in Charleston and book your flight down here to check out the sights, you'll notice that there is more to Charleston than just the peninsula.

When you visit the Holy City, you'll discover that the Charleston area extends into three counties: Berkeley, Dorchester, as well as Charleston county.  I was actually just having coffee with one of my favorite wedding planners and was picking her brain about some of her favorite wedding venues in Mt Pleasant, Sullivan's Island, and the Isle Of Palms. The places you'll see on this post are right on the outskirts of Charleston and worth a look as you search for a wonderful place to get married.

The Pavillion At Pepper Plantation
Looking for an amazing wedding venue on the outskirts of Charleston that is tucked away in the woods away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston? Look no further. You've got to check out The Pavillion At Pepper Plantation. The plantation is located in Awendaw, SC, which is about 30 miles from the peninsula of Charleston. While that may sound like a fair distance, you'll greatly appreciate the seclusion of having your wedding ceremony and reception out in the country.  You should head over to their website: The Pavillion At Pepper Plantation
and set up a time to visit this beautiful wedding venue. For one of my real weddings out at Pepper Plantation, just click the link down below:

Harborside East
One of the things you'll soon discover about Charleston, SC as you begin to search for a wedding venue is the amount of lovely venues on the water that provide an excellent backdrop for your most special day.  Located right on the Charleston harbor in lovely Mt Pleasant, SC (not too far away from the Mt Pleasant Riverfront Park).  You'll have the iconic Ravenel Bridge in the background as you celebrate under the stars and dance the night away.  Feel free to delve a little deeper into a tour of Harborside East I got to take and speak with the management of the venue. Creek Club At I'on
Nestled back on the water inside the elegant and luxurious I'on development in scenic Mt Pleasant, the Creek Club may very well offer one of the most completely beautiful areas to get married. Sunset views that are some of the best in the entire Charleston area, combined with marsh overlooks make this an extremely sought after venue. Mike Bills Entertainment loves to head over to Mt Pleasant to provide his services as a wedding DJ there.  You can take my word for it. You will fall in love with this wedding venue when you come down to Charleston to take a tour of it. Be prepared because it's a wedding venue that books up very fast. Lastly, is another hidden gem located right on the beach on the beautiful Isle of Palms. There is something that is extremely relaxing about a beach wedding. The waves, the smell of the salt air just can make the most special and wonderful day of your life so much more better.
