    CHARLESTON WEDDING DJ

If this is the first time you've visited my website and blog, welcome to my musical world. Producing these posts for my clients is very therapeutic to me. The truth of the matter is I love music and as your professional wedding DJ should you decide to get married in the holy city of Charleston, you'll be hiring a guy who will see to it that your soundtrack and playlist is the most memorable ever. Since the current iteration of my website went live nearly 2 years ago this July, I've managed to keep the blog full of DJ tips, playlist ideas, and other important audio and podcasts designed for brides and grooms seeking the best Charleston Wedding DJ. The traffic statistics to my blog do not go without notice and I've been reviewing in recent weeks some of the most popular posts. Back in April of 2017, I published a post for some dinner music ideas that included some of the biggest soft rock hits from the 80s.  Now, close to 14 months later, this post has become one of the top 5 most visited posts on my DJ blog. It's gotten traffic from all over the world.  For more musical inspiration, I clicked back over to this post to review some of the selections. I was reminded how awesome it was to grow up in the 80s and hear all these amazing soft rock artists.  Maybe if you are of a certain age, you'd think of a lot of these artists as your "parents music".  They might be, and believe me, you'll want to read on for an incredible 80s Soft Rock sequel.

Through the power of internet web search and one of my best friend's (Google), Christy's mother found me last summer and inquired about my services. Christy and Clayton had met here in Charleston while the both of them were in college. Christy had been attending the College Of Charleston, and Clayton was attending the Citadel. After graduation, they moved to Atlanta, and that is actually where they are living currently. They had their wedding ceremony at the Summerall Chapel, which is on the campus of the Citadel on the afternoon of Saturday, April 21, and I had the pleasure of being their DJ for their cocktail hour and wedding reception. Their wedding reception was held at Marion's In The French Quarter, which is located at 159 East Bay Street. It had been a while since I had been to Marion's, but it didn't take me long to remember what a beautiful place it is to hold a Charleston wedding reception or private event. Marion's literally is right smack dab in the middle of the historic downtown Charleston district. It's just a quick walk away from the beautiful Charleston harbor, and those famous cobblestone streets that tell you that you are in Charleston. Read on for some of the great songs that Christy & Clayton chose for their playlist,

They say "hate" is a strong word, so when it comes to the Charleston wedding DJ business, we'll make it a little less dramatic and refer to those songs that we "dislike greatly" as Do Not Play songs. Wedding DJs all around Charleston and the rest of the country have made their reports and the votes have been tabulated, as to which songs were placed on Do Not Play Lists all over Charleston and in the rest of the major wedding markets across the country for all of 2017. If you just landed on my blog for the first time, welcome to my website and blog that was professionally designed for the modern bride in mind.  You probably are hitting a lot of DJ sites out right now if you just got engaged over the holidays or will be in the next few weeks. The Do Not Play List is one of the most important discussions that you should be having with your prospective wedding DJ as you plan your 2018 or 2019 wedding.  It's YOUR wedding, so the music that you choose for your wedding playlist should reflect your musical tastes. If you are thinking about designing a special theme for your cocktail hour, check back over my blog for many playlist ideas. One of the biggest parts about making your wedding music about YOU is making sure the DJ you hire does not play the songs you don't like.

DJ Mike delivered well organized and orchestrated results that made for a great wedding and reception! Couldn't have picked a better DJ to cover our event and truly appreciated his availability to pick up the job and execute in such a short time period. I highly recommend his services, overall great quality.

Made Our Wedding Perfect

Before choosing Mike Bills as our wedding DJ, we looked at several companies and DJs and looked over the reviews for all of them. We chose Mike Bills because of the overwhelmingly great reviews he got and I am so glad we did! They were all spot on! Mike was great to work with, quick to respond, came to our rehearsal to do a run through with us.

Professional and Creative

Mike was kind, courteous, professional, and creative! We thoroughly enjoyed working with him for our destination wedding at Folly Beach. We gave Mike minimal guidance and he caught on to our "style" quickly and efficiently. Our guests are still raving about the music selections, and how they were a great balance of new tracks and standards for everyone to enjoy.
