Christina & Trey - Amazing Afternoon At Runnymede Plantation

03 October 2016

Christina & Trey came to me earlier this year after meeting me at the Charleston Bridal Show, which was held downtown at the Gaillard Center in January. After the bridal show, my company sent out literature to prospective brides who were seeking a DJ for their Charleston wedding. By mid February, we met and they had decided to book with me.

Runnymede Plantation has really burst onto the Charleston wedding venue scene in the past 2 -3 years. Located right off Highwat 61 after Middleton Place, but before Magnolia Plantation, it is quickly becoming a premier wedding venue because of it's views and locations for wedding ceremonies.  Shhh. I actually saw a walking trail off the dirt road heading back into the plantation that leads over to Magnolia, but don't tell Magnolia that. The way I see it is it's a trail that is connecting two of the area's beautiful areas. One of Christina's friends was a violinist and provided most of the cermeony pieces after prelude music provided by myself. As the ceremony ended, we continued with a traditional approach to the ceremony music by playing the Wedding March followed by Vivaldi's "Spring" as guests were congregating around to get a group photo.

The wedding reception ended at 7pm, just as Christina & Trey discussed back in February when we met. They wanted to end the reception at sunset, which is exactly what happpened. After a special confetti send-off, Christina & Trey are headed down to Montego Bay, Jamaica for a wonderful honeymoon.
