Samantha & Andrew - Beside The Oak At Middleton Place

01 June 2015

My company isn't one of the area's  premier DJ services for just no reason. I become a premier wedding DJ in the Charleston area because of the methodical approach he takes with all his brides and grooms and for being thorough with planning and coordination.

Upon Samantha & Andrew booking me in late August 2014, there started a 9 month thought process on how their wedding ceremony would be carried out with the utmost perfection. Due to the fact that the location where Samantha and Andrew were to exchange vows had no electrical outlets, this caused a major logistical challenge.

For the months leading up to Samantha and Andrew's wedding, my views on how to handle this logistical challenge bounced back and forth. After a rainy, cold trip out there in January to see the ceremony site, I had felt I might had settled on a complete battery powered unit called the Peso System. It wasn't until late March that I visited PDA and saw the Peso System action. Being one of Charleston's wedding DJs who prides himself on top notch sound, the Peso System would not be a wise choice. Having one speaker and one CD player could be an option, but it's not the way I like to conduct my ceremonies.

In the weeks following my introduction to the Peso System, I continued to be indecisive on how to proceed with Samantha and Andrew's ceremony. I knew I had to make a decision soon. I visited Sunbelt Rentals in Ladson to discuss my predicament. It was mid April that I made a decision to utilize a high quality quiet generator to provide power for Samantha and Andrew's ceremony.

Being one of Charleston's premier wedding DJs with an emphasis on sound and professional equipment, this was the right decision. I needed enough power for my mixer, two CD players, one QC K12 speaker, and my wireless microphone.

The generator was quiet and cranked up right away and provided more than power and was probably the best decision I could have ever made in a complex logistical situation. You see, the ability two use CD players would have been missing with the Peso System, which could mean dicey transitions between songs. Also, just 1 QSC K12 speaker was all that was needed to provide a beautiful expansive sound for the ceremony goers. The speaker that accompanied the Peso System lacked power for sure.
